LifeProof has announced an updated version of it’s nüüd and frē cases. The cases both offer the same level of water, dirt, snow and shock protection as the previous nüüd and frē case for the iPhone 5, but now they support using the Touch ID sensor that is built into the home button on the newer iPhone 5s.
The LifeProof nüüd case does not have a screen cover, and uses a compression lock system that forms a waterproof seal between the case and the touch screen. LifeProof frē case does have a built-in screen protector that protects the phone from scratches. Both the nüüd and frē offer water protection up to 6.6 ft for an hour.
The LifeProof nüüd and frē case does come with a 1-year Limited Warranty against any defects in the material of the case. LifeProof alos offers an optional Total Water Protection Program for $10.00.
LifeProof nüüd is available in either black or white for $89.99. LifeProof frē is available in multiple colors for $79.99. However some of the colors are on sale at different prices. Available in black for $49.99, white/grey for $49.99, lime/black for $54.99, magenta/black for $54.99, red/black for $54.99, dark flat earth/black for $54.99, cyan/black for $54.99, olive drab green/black for $54.99, and in yellow/black for $54.99.
