Lisa Vanderpump reveals that she left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because of all the “nastiness” among the other women on the show. Vanderpump has been known to stir the pot at the time, but finally, even she became fed up with the drama and left the show in the lurch.

Vanderpump helped make The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills a household name and had starred on the hit franchise since its inception in 2010. This past year, however, the restaurant owner and former actress announced she would be leaving the beloved show behind. The fan-favorite was known for her over the top house and the tiny dogs that she loved like children. The 59-year-old loved to wear pink and dress is sparkly attire. There had been rumors swirling around as to why the British reality star left the show and Vanderpump is ready to tell all.

The UK had dubbed her the reigning queen of American reality TV and it was hard for viewers to deny that Vanderpump was a standout among her fellow cast members. The Bravo personality always wore a shade of pink and loved using her quick-witted humor on unsuspecting Yankees. After nine seasons and the loss of her brother, Vanderpump decided to quit the show without giving her two weeks’ notice. Recently the animal rights activist spoke with People and told them that she had a great time starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but the negativity in the last season was not what she needed when she was trying to stay positive after the loss of her brother, Mark.

Her brother’s suicide left the mother of two unstable and unable to perform daily activities as she once had. The ninth season began filming only months after her brother’s suicide and Vanderpump was not yet healed from the tragedy. The reality star admitted that she should have never committed to film that season and needed to work through the grief she was experiencing. The final straw according to the housewife was when she was accused of being a liar by Dorit Kemsley due to a misunderstanding about a dog. After their last girls’ trip to the Bahamas, where Vaderpump was ganged up on by the women, she had realized enough was enough and being apart of the show was just not worth it anymore saying she was a strong woman but “had no room in my life for nastiness.”

Now, Vanderpump was accused of leaking a story about Kemsley to the papers, but said she was not responsible for this and would not want to bring negative attention to the fact that one of her dogs was returned to a kill shelter. Since leaving the show and her reality TV throne Vanderpump has been working with her dog foundation and partnering with the Trevor Project who help prevent suicide among the LGBTQ community.
