Despite her recent departure from the hit Bravo show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump recently won the Reality Star of the Year award at the National Film & TV Awards. The British restaurateur and creator of Vanderpump Rules announced her big win on Instagram on Wednesday.

Vanderpump helped increase the popularity of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after starring in the hit franchise since its inception in 2010. However, things went downhill this past season after the author and former actress announced she would be leaving the beloved show behind. The fan-favorite was known for her over the top house of luxury and her tiny dogs and ponies that she loves like children. The 59-year-old always found ways to include pink into her often sparkly and glamorous attire. After nine seasons and the loss of her brother, Vanderpump decided to quit the show without giving a head’s up to the cast and crew. The animal rights activist recently revealed her reason behind her departure and credited it to the “nastiness” between the women during filming last season. It was all too much drama she was trying to stay positive after the tragic loss of her brother, Mark.

It appears her absence from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it didn’t stop Vanderpump from taking home the Reality Star of the Year award for Vanderpump Rules at the National Film & TV Awards. She took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo of herself from the podium at the award show. She captioned the post, “Thank you for voting for me as your Best Female Reality TV Star! I’m honored to have won the NFTA National Film & TV Award.” Check out Vanderpump’s Instagram post below:

Vanderpump took home the prize for Best Female Reality TV Personality, while Kodi Lee from America’s Got Talent took home the male version of the award. As for the Best Reality TV Show 2019, Love Island USA took home that prize. Not only has Vanderpump done an outstanding job maintaining restaurants and her reality TV show that goes with it, but she’s also big on animal activism. In 2016 show founded Vanderpump Dog Foundation, which encourages humans to treat dogs more humanely. She’s also partnered with Trevor Project to help prevent suicide among the LGBTQ community.

This humanitarian, LGBTQ+ advocate, and animal rights activist is not only making a change, but she’s also doing it in style. The reality TV royalty has finally gone home with an award for doing what she does best, entertaining the masses with her elegance and grace.
